We run a non-DOT drug testing program that voluntarily mirrors federal DOT collection protocol. Non-DOT testing is governed by employer policy and state law rather than federal rule, which means most providers can cut corners legally. We do not. Every collection follows DOT-equivalent security and chain-of-custody procedure.

Drug Testing
Oral fluid collection is $55 per test. Roughly 8% of tests come back non-negative; each of those adds $15 MRO review, $35 SAMHSA-certified lab confirmation, and $6 in collection and shipping supplies. A negative test costs the listed price and nothing more.
Prices are indicative per-test rates for a scheduled event at a mobilized site. Final rates are set with your scope — headcount, test mix, travel, and event frequency all move the number. Your scoped quote is free.

What the service actually covers.
- Pre-employment, random, reasonable-suspicion, post-accident, return-to-duty, and follow-up collections.
- Custom panel configuration — 9-panel, 12-panel, and fentanyl-inclusive options, rather than the fixed federal 5-panel.
- Oral-fluid-first workflow: we collect oral fluid, and on a non-negative result collect a urine specimen in the same encounter for laboratory confirmation. This holds down per-test cost without giving up confirmatory rigor.
- Random selection driven from a scientifically valid random number generator against your roster.
- Reasonable-suspicion testing gated on a completed supervisor Observation Checklist documenting specific, observable indicators.
How we run it
The standards we hold, including where they exceed the rule.
- We mirror DOT protocol by choice. Non-DOT collections permit flexibility; our collectors execute DOT-equivalent collection, security, and chain-of-custody procedure on every collection. This is a liability posture, not a regulatory requirement.
- MRO review is mandatory. No non-negative result reaches you without review by a certified Medical Review Officer, regardless of state law permitting otherwise.
- A presumptive is never reported as a final. An instant-cup non-negative is a screening result only. It is never communicated to an employer as a positive. Confirmation at a SAMHSA-certified laboratory by GC-MS or LC-MS/MS governs.
- Collection site security is real: bluing agent in the bowl and tank, water shut off, adulterants removed, restroom inspected before every collection.
- Urine collections take a minimum 45 mL split — 30 mL primary, 15 mL split — matching the DOT standard. Temperature is read and recorded within four minutes of voiding, and a reading outside 90-100°F triggers an immediate directly observed recollection.
- The specimen stays in continuous view of both collector and donor until sealed. Tamper-evident seals go on in front of the donor, who initials and dates them.

- A securable restroom we can prepare and control for the duration of the collection event.
- A written company drug and alcohol policy on file — this defines refusal criteria and the panel, and is what makes a positive defensible.
- SAMHSA-certified laboratory and MRO vendor relationships are ours; you do not contract them separately.
- For reasonable-suspicion testing, supervisors trained on the Observation Checklist before the program goes live.
Results live in the Occupational Health Record, separate from the personnel file. Supervisors receive fitness-for-duty and restriction information only — never underlying results or diagnoses. Employee medical records are retained for the duration of employment plus 30 years, per 29 CFR 1910.1020.
